Internet Finally!

One week down! I start teaching tomorrow - wow! I'll talk about that in another post, but for now, here are some pictures of my travels in Beijing!

Day 2 - The Great Wall and Ming Dynasty Tombs

I'm smiling because we just started the long hike...

We made it to the highest point on wall!!!

Part of the Ming Dynasty Tombs. The posts in this hall (over 600 years old) were made from single tree trunks.





















Day 3 - Summer Palace and Temple of Heaven

 

 

We didn't eat here, but I took a picture to show everyone that I'm getting enough food here. Actually, it's really good!

I love this picture because it's a contrast between the old Beijing in the front and the new Beijing in the background.
